Latest Book: Fight Sports and the Church
My latest book, Fight Sports and the Church: Boxing and Martial Arts Ministries in America, examines the relationship of fight sports with the church, and looks at the subject from historical, cultural, and theological perspectives. It features interviews with leaders of boxing and martial arts ministries who reflect about their programs. Book Added to Screen Studies Resource
My book The Church on TV: Portrayals of Priests, Pastors and Nuns on American Television Series, has been added to the Television Studies collection of Screen Studies, a major digital resource for moving image studies launched in March 2018. Books included in Screen Studies are indexed so that they are discoverable in keyword searches. The collection is accessible by clicking on the book cover.

What I'm teaching at VU Fall 2024
This Fall 2024, I'll be teaching CVA 145 Interpersonal and Small Group Communication, as well as supervising internships. I'll also begin serving as Department Chair of the Communication and Visual Arts Department.
Valpo Boxing Club's Schedule
The Valpo Boxing Club is meeting on select Wednesday evenings (for advanced training) and Saturday mornings (for basic boxing circuit training) this Spring semester.
